Let’s Talk About That Vertical Relationship! Maybe you have a neighbor or a relative who is a: Skeptic? Atheist? Deist? Agnostic? Doubter? Maybe they have a beef with God…or the Bible? Let’s air it out The Oakton UMC Evangelism Committee is announcing the beginning of a forum for questions and conflicting perspectives. The committee will meet in the small fellowship hall, at 7:00 PM on the last Sunday night of every month (see 2008 schedule below). The first meeting is set for March 30, 2008. While the committee is solid in its faith in God and the truths contained in the Bible, it is prepared to concede that the questions raised by Atheism are sufficient to trump Theism. The Committee is prepared to defend the proposition that Trinitarianism trumps Atheism, however, we will listen and provide a forum whereby ageless questions can be asked and an effort made to seek answers.
