Vocal Groups

THE SANCTUARY CHOIR is for adults (out of High School) who have a love of singing. They rehearse on Thursday evenings at 7:30. The Sanctuary Choir presents anthems most every Sunday. They also present music during the year at special services.

THE CHAPEL CHOIR is for children up to grade 6. They rehearse on Sunday mornings from 9:45 to 10:15 and sing once a month throughout the school year. We strive to combine the love of singing with praising God through music, while also having fun.

The PRAISE BAND is for youth in grades 7-12, playing and performing contemporary Christian music with guitars, drums, and vocals.  They rehearse Sundays from 2:30-3:30 from September to June, and perform periodically during the Sunday 11am worship service.

Handbell Groups

The  ALLELUIA RINGERS handbell choir is for youth and adults who may or may not have previous ringing experience. The group works on pieces that are both challenging and musically satisfying and rings periodically throughout the school year. They rehearse on Sundays from 1:30 to 2:30.

The CARILLON RINGERS handbell choir is geared more toward the musician with previous ringing experience, and strong music reading abilities. They combine their musical talent with their love for handbells as they play very challenging music. They generally ring once a month and rehearse on Sundays from 12:15 to 1:15

All groups rehearse from September until June following the school schedule and play or sing at the 10:55 service.

Instrumentalists/Vocalists

Both worship services offer opportunities for solo or small ensembles to share their talents. Please contact the Music Director if you are interested in sharing your talents.

Bluegrass Ministry
Do you enjoy bluegrass music?  Perhaps you play the fiddle, banjo or even the harmonica.  Come share your interests and talents as this "grassroots" ministry takes off at Oakton Church.  We meet in the small chapel on Tuesday evenings from 7:00 - 9:00pm. The ministry meets one Tuesday a month from May through October.  Admission is free and you do not need to be a member of the church to perform or attend.
