| 8:30am Service in the Chapel |
Oakton Church celebrates two worship services each Sunday morning. The first, starting at 8:30am, is held in our original chapel. Small, intimate, and somewhat rustic, this service is frequented by our early risers. Although we are frequently graced by some of our most talented solo vocalists and instrumentalists, there is no choir.
Our second service begins at 10:55am and is held in our larger, more contemporary sanctuary. During this service we regularly enjoy the talents of our youth and adult vocal and hand bell choirs.

| Pastor Hawks Offers a Children's Sermon |
A children's sermon is included in this service after which children age 3 through the 5th grade are invited to attend Gateways.
Gateways This age-appropriate Christian education activity is geared toward children age 3 through the 5th grade who attend the 10:55am worship service.
Children begin by attending the regular worship service with their families. After a short age-appropriate sermon, they gather at the front door on the right side of the sanctuary and are guided by volunteers to the education building where they enjoy additional Christian education. Two groups are formed, one for children age 3 through pre-kindergarten and a second for children in kindergarten through the fifth grade. Younger children are always welcome in our nursery.
Gateways ends at the same time as the regular worship service, at which time the children and their families are reunited.

Nursery Care
At Oakton church, we provide infants and toddlers (newborns through age 4) with a safe and caring Christian environment. Our nursery staff of paid workers and volunteers are available at 9:45am so adults may attend Sunday School. Nursery care is also available during the 10:55am service and many other church sponsored activities. Nursing mothers are always welcome in the nursery.
