Adult and Children’s Clothing Swap - Saturday, May 16th 10:00 AM to Noon

If your children have outgrown their clothes and shoes, or your own summer wardrobe needs a refresh, bring the clothing, shoes and accessories you no longer want (clean and in good condition) to Oakton UMC. Take home clothing you want or need.
Nothing to swap? Don’t worry—take what you need!
Don’t need to swap? We’ll take your outgrown clothing anyway.
At the end of the swap, all leftover items will be donated to Women Giving Back. Contact the church office at 703-938-1234 or Angie Erschens at aerschens@oaktonumc.org for questions. All are welcome!

Whether you’re retired, work evenings, or simply have a flexible schedule, this is a great opportunity to connect, share conversation, and build community in a relaxed and welcoming environment.

We’re excited to celebrate our 2026 graduates during Graduate Sunday on June 1 at 10AM!
During our worship service, we’ll take a special moment to recognize those completing high school or college. It’s a meaningful time to honor their accomplishments and send them into their next chapter with love and encouragement.
If you have a graduate you’d like us to include, please fill out this form by May 31st so we can add them to the list.

It’s year eight of our popular Summer Volunteer Camp — register by April 30 and save!
During Summer Volunteer Camp, children ages 6 to 12 will participate in enjoyable service activities appropriate for their age group. The week will be filled with opportunities to give back to the community, and they will return home inspired to do even more.
Fees:
One child: Early registration $420 (ends April 30); $450 regular
Two siblings: Early registration $756 (ends April 30); $810 regular
Three siblings: Early registration $1,134 (ends April 30); $1215 regular
Kids Give Back Summer Volunteer Camp
Vacation Bible School - Monday, July 27 - Thursday, July 30 5:30 PM - 8:00 PM
Registration is now open for Rainforest Falls Evening Vacation Bible School at Oakton United Methodist Church, for children ages 3 (potty trained) through rising 6th grade. Kids will explore the nature of God through music, hands-on activities, and small group learning, with dinner included each night ($30 per child).
Participants are invited back on Sunday, August 2 for a Closing Program during the 10 AM worship service, followed by the “Final Splash Down” foam and water party for all ages. Family and friends are welcome to attend, and students who have completed 6th grade and older can volunteer as crew leaders.
