Have some free time during the workday? Whether you’re retired, work a flexible schedule, or are simply available, join The Lunch Bunch for lunch, conversation, and fellowship. It’s a casual opportunity to connect, catch up, and enjoy a meal together. Everyone is welcome!
All Saints Service - Sunday, November 1st at 10am
On Sunday, November 1st, we will be remembering our loved ones who have passed away during our All Saints Remembrance at OUMC. We invite you to participate by submitting the names of those you'd like to have remembered during the service. Please fill out the All Saints Remembrance form to include your loved ones in this heartfelt service.
Youth Service Opportunity: Christmas Gift Ministry
Donation Deadline: Sunday, November 1, 2026
Oakton UMC Youth are collecting donations for the Christmas Gift Ministry benefiting women at the Fluvanna Correctional Center for Women. Help us share God's love this Christmas by donating approved hygiene items, greeting cards, or stationery. Donations include toothbrushes, toothpaste, deodorant, shampoo, lotion, and writing paper. Please refer to the flyer for specific sizes and donation guidelines. All donations must be received by Sunday, November 1. Thank you for supporting our youth as they spread kindness, hope, and encouragement this holiday season!
Community Clothing & Costume Swap - Saturday, October 17th, 10am -12pm
Join us at Oakton United Methodist Church for our FREE Community Clothing & Costume Swap on Saturday, October 17, from 10 AM–noon!
Donations Needed: Bring gently used clothing & Costumes that no longer suit you and take home new-to-you items. Donations are welcome now, and the earlier you donate, the better! Please drop off your items at the church office Monday–Friday, between 9 AM and 2 PM.
Volunteers Needed: Help with setup, organizing tables, cleanup, and delivering leftover items to a donation facility. We’re also looking for hangers, clean shopping bags, and clothing racks to borrow.
HOST A TRUNK for Trunk or Treat - Saturday, October 24th from 3-5pm
Help make OUMC's Trunk or Treat event on Saturday, October 24th from 3-5pm a Spooktacular success!
We need TRUNK HOSTS (decorate your trunk or a parking space and purchase candy or treats to hand out) as well as general helpers to direct traffic, welcome visitors and monitor games.
Cross-Racial & Cross-Cultural Ministry Training - Saturday, October 24, 2026, 9:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m. (Breakfast at 8:15 a.m.)
The Virginia Annual Conference invites NOVA District clergy and church leaders to a training led by Rev. Lan Davis Wilson. Attendance is mandatory for all clergy serving in cross-racial and cross-cultural (CRCC) appointments. Each church is also expected to send 10 stakeholders, including staff, board members, and congregational leaders.
This training supports the Conference's ongoing commitment to fostering belonging, understanding, and inclusive ministry. Churches unable to identify 10 participants should contact DS Kirk Nave or Rev. Lan Davis Wilson for assistance.

Lamb Center Lunches
On the second Saturday of each month, OUMC works together to provide and serve lunch to the guests of the Lamb Center. The Lamb Center is a day shelter for the homeless in Fairfax County. If you have any questions or concerns, you can contact Angie Erschens.

Youth Group Meet-Ups
Join us on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of every month for Youth Group meet-ups! After worship, we'll walk to lunch together from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM, followed by a post-lunch discussion. It's a great opportunity to connect and grow!
On the last Sunday of the month, we have fun outings like laser tag and escape rooms. Don’t miss out—invite your friends and join us for food, fun, and fellowship!
