Guest Preacher and Lunch and Learn - March 1st at 10 AM
On March 1st, we welcome Rev. Chris Allen, Vice President of The Methodist Foundation, as our guest preacher. Rev. Allen will preach and also lead a special learning session focused on faithful stewardship.
His sermon “The Eternal ROI” is based on Matthew 6:19–20.
Following worship, join us for a Lunch & Learn: Faith & Finance—Tax-Efficient Giving for the Future of Oakton UMC. We will share a potluck-style lunch while learning practical ways to give wisely, including donating appreciated stock, using donor-advised funds, and making qualified charitable distributions (RMDs) from an IRA. This session will explore thoughtful, long-term stewardship strategies that protect your assets while sustaining the vital ministries and mission of Oakton UMC.
Mosaic Meal Bag Packing March 22nd, 10 AM Worship followed by a mission from 11:30AM-1PM in Large Hall
Join us after worship we come together to pack spring break food bags for local elementary school students in need. This is a chance to connect with one another, enjoy good food, and put our faith into action by supporting families in our community during the school break, when access to meals can be more limited.
Palm Sunday - March 29th at 10 AM
Join us on Palm Sunday as we celebrate the beginning of Holy Week and remember Jesus’ triumphant entry into Jerusalem. This meaningful worship service invites all ages to reflect on the journey toward Easter through scripture, prayer, and praise as we enter one of the most significant weeks of the Christian year.
Maundy Thursday Dinner Church - April 2nd at 6:30 PM
Join us for Maundy Thursday Dinner Church as we gather around the table to remember the night of the Last Supper. This unique worship experience blends a shared meal with scripture, reflection, and communion, inviting us to reflect on Jesus’ command to love and serve one another as we journey through Holy Week together.
Eggstravaganza - April 4th from 2:00PM-4:00PM | Egg Hunts at 2:45 and 3:15
Join us for Eggstravaganza, our annual community Easter Egg Hunt, filled with fun, games, and prizes for the whole family. This festive afternoon offers multiple egg hunt times for different age groups, along with activities designed to celebrate the joy of the Easter season and bring our community together.
