Chili Cook-Off & Baking Competition  - Sunday, November 30th at 10am

Join us Sunday, November 30th at 10am for worship in the Sanctuary followed by our Chili Cook-Off and Baking Competition in the Large Hall. Enjoy a variety of homemade desserts and chili, plus hot dogs and cheese to go with it!

Each person will receive two tickets to vote for their favorite chili and baked dessert. Additional tickets will be available for purchase if you’d like to cast extra votes.

Hanging Tree Lights, Manger Setup, & Hanging of the Greens

Come lend a hand after church on Sunday, November 23rd, from 11 AM to 1 PM, as we decorate the church for the Christmas season.

Then join us again on Saturday, November 29th at 10 AM for the Hanging of the Greens as we continue preparing our space for Advent.

Annual Tree Lighting & Cookies w/Santa
Saturday, December 6th from 5:30 PM - 7:00 PM

Join us on Saturday, December 6th from 5:30 PM - 7:00 PM for our Tree Lighting & Cookies with Santa! Tree lighting and caroling start at 5:30 PM then come enjoy cookies with Santa!

ADVENT BIBLE STUDY - BEGINS SUNDAY 12/7

Join us in the Small Social Hall from 11:15 - 12:45 for a 4 session, 90 minute Advent Bible Study held the following Sundays: 12/7, 12/21, 12/28 

In The Case for Christmas Bible Study, led by New York Times bestselling author Lee Strobel, participants will dig into the true Christmas story to sort out the fact from the fiction and the hype from the holiness.

Can't make it to all of the sessions? No problem! Join us when you can!  Grab a free Case for Christmas book even if you can't join us and read on your own!

Sunday Service - Lessons and Carols - Sunday, December 14th at 10 AM

Join us Sunday, December 14th at 10:00 AM for a special church service filled with carols and scripture, celebrating the glory of Christmas through song

Holiday Break Food Bags and Parents Gathering - Sunday, December 14 at 11 AM

Join us after service on Sunday, December 14 at 11 AM as we come together to pack holiday break food bags for our community. Everyone is welcome to help — kids included! After the bags are packed, parents are invited to gather for a short time of connection and fellowship.

Children can join in during the packing portion and then head to the nursery during the parent gathering so parents can enjoy lunch and conversation.

Caroling to Our Friends at Home - Sunday, December 14th at 4:00 PM

Join us at 4:00 PM to depart from OUMC together. We will go spread holiday cheer through caroling as we visit our members and friends who are home bound. Help us share joy with the community.

Live Nativity: Camel and Friends - Wednesday, December 24th from 1:00 - 3:00 PM

Join us on Christmas Eve from 1–3 PM for our Live Nativity: Camel and Friends! Come see the camel and other live animals, enjoy cookies and cocoa by the fire, and celebrate the joy of Christmas with music and community.

Join us on Christmas Eve for a joyful evening of worship and celebration!


3:30 PM – Children’s Service: A family-friendly celebration filled with singing and a Nativity Play
8:00 PM – Traditional Worship: Experience the beauty of Christmas through scripture, carols, and reflection.
11:00 PM – Candlelight Service: Close the night in calm and reflection as we celebrate the arrival of Christ’s light.

MAFAA Concert Series at Oakton UMC - Every 3rd Saturday at 7:00 PM

Join us for an evening of live music and community at the MAFAA Concert Series at Oakton United Methodist Church, presented by the Maple Avenue Fine Arts Academy. The concert takes place every third Saturday at 7:00 p.m., featuring inspiring performances from talented local and guest artists in a warm, welcoming setting. Tickets are available at the door—$10 for adults and $3 for children. Come and enjoy the beauty of live music right here in Oakton.
